
Jae Park, DAOM, L.Ac., QME
Dr. Jae Park holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University in San Jose, CA. He is a faculty member at Five Branches University in San Jose, CA. He is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator for the California State Division of Workers' Compensation.
Dr. Park had an extensive acupuncture pain management clinical training with many of modern acupuncture masters including Dr. Shi Xue Min who is the former president of the 1st teaching hospital of Tianjin University of TCM and is regarded as No.1 Acupuncture doctor in China and his hospital is the largest Acupuncture hospital in China.
Another great acupuncture master Dr. Park was fortunate to study with is Dr. Shunfa Jiao. In 1970, Dr. Jiao invented "Scalp Acupuncture". This technique won him the China National Award of Excellence by the State Administration of TCM. In 1982, the WHO(World Health Organization) and UN recognized "Scalp Acupuncture" as a major invention from China. Currently, he is a Chief Physician in Beijing and a Standing Committe Member of the National Acupuncture Association in China.
Dr. Park also studied with Dr. Wang Ju Yi who is a foremost expert in Classical Channel Acupuncture with over 30 years of experiences in treating all kinds of diseases including chronic pain patients.
These three modern masters of acupuncture enormously enriched Dr. Park's acupuncture pain management skills as well as treating other diseases.
Also, as a part of his PhD thesis, Dr. Park conducted a Chinese herbal remedy clinical trial for Type II diabetes with an endocrinologist MD who is recognized internationally as an expert in diabetes treatment and has authored over 70 publications. He completed an Advanced Integrated Diabetes Prevention and Treatment program at the Center for Treatment and Prevention of Diabetes at the 2nd Teaching Hospital of the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hangzhou, China. He completed an advanced study in Internal Medicine at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.
